Textbook: Domjan, Michael (2006), The Principles of Learning and Behavior
(5th Edition), Thomson Wadsworth
Course Description: This course will provide you with a basic understanding of major topics in learning and behavior and expand your analytical abilities through the evaluation of scientific data. This course should increase your understanding and appreciation of our thoughts, feelings, behavior, and the way we live in this world.
Testing: Three exams.
1st exam = 30 points
2nd exam = 30 points
3rd exam = 40 points
No makeup tests after test date.
Materials Covered: Includes textbook, handouts, and information presented in class.
While the dates of chapters to review and specific information regarding tests will be given at class, course material will be reviewed and tested in the following modules:
Attendance is important in order to secure the necessary knowledge base and understand material that will be tested. This is a very interactive class with good exercises and discussion, and will require you to draw from your personal experiences to expand and clarify your understanding of the course content.
