TEXTBOOK REQUIRED
Aronson, E., Wilson, T., & Akert, R. (2002). Social Psychology (4th edition). Upper Saddle River, NJ: Prentice-Hall.
Course pre-requisite: PSYC 101 (General Psychology)
Course requirements:
Two hourly examinations (see attached class calendar for dates) each consisting of 75 multiple-choice questions and a comprehensive final exam consisting of 100 multiple choice questions. No makeup exams will be permitted unless (1) I have been notified in advance of your absence by email or phone and (2) documentation (i.e., a note from an M.D. or confirmation of death in the family) is provided. Make-up examinations will be in essay format. Special provisions can be made to
take exams early (e.g., due to documented multiple exam conflicts).
Attendance is not mandatory, but is highly recommended, since many exam questions will be derived from lecture material not covered in the text.
Grading method:
Your total points scored on all 3 exams will determine your course grade:
| 225-250 | (90-100%) | A |
| 213-224 | (85-89%) | B+ |
| 200-212 | (80-84%) | B |
| 188-199 | (75-79%) | C+ |
| 175-187 | (70-74%) | C |
| 162-174 | (65-69%) | D |
| Below 162 | (<65%) | F |
IMPORTANT NOTE: There is no extra credit in this course under any circumstances.

Note: Using WebCT
A more detailed class calendar (with reading assignments, etc.), all MS PowerPoint slides used in lectures, practice quizzes to help in preparing for exams, grade postings, important announcements, links to relevant websites, etc., will be available here. You get to the site by entering the address https://webct.rutgers.edu, clicking on Log on to My WebCT, then logging in with your eden userid and password. The course should appear if you are on the roster - you just click on it and you are in. Since the files will be in MS Word, MS Excel, or MS PowerPoint format, you need to use a computer that has these programs on its hard drive in order to open or download them. To the best of my knowledge, all of the PCs in the labs on any RU campus are so equipped.
