Rutgers University-New Brunswick invites applications for two faculty positions in Clinical Psychology.  For both positions, candidates must demonstrate the capacity to establish an independent research program and to procure external funding for that research.  Rutgers provides opportunities for collaboration with faculty in the Department of Psychology, Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, interdisciplinary research centers, and the adjacent Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.             (1) The first position is a tenure-track faculty position in Clinical Psychology at the Assistant Professor level in the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP). Responsibilities include teaching graduate level courses to PsyD students, supervising their clinical work, and mentoring them in research and professional development.  The candidate will also have the opportunity to become an active member of the Department of Psychology’s PhD training program in Clinical Psychology and supervise PhD student research.             (2) The second position is a tenure-track or tenured faculty position in Clinical Psychology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Department of Psychology in the School of Arts and Sciences.  Responsibilities include playing an integral role in the Department’s clinical scientist PhD program and teaching undergraduates.  Applicants conducting research on any fundamental topic within clinical psychology (including, but not limited to: experimental psychopathology; clinical-health research; and treatment mechanisms and outcome) will be considered. The Department of Psychology in the Rutgers University School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Behavioral Neuroscience or Cognitive Neuroscience.  The ideal behavioral neuroscience candidate would complement departmental strengths one or more of the following areas: (1) learning and memory (2) perception, comprising: vision, audition, visual-motor control or navigation; (3) attentional processes; (4) computational modeling of neural processes; (5) affective neuroscience with a focus on emotional processing. The ideal cognitive neuroscience candidate would complement departmental strengths one or more of the following areas: (1) learning, memory, thinking, or problem-solving; (2) perception, comprising: vision, attention, audition, visual-motor control or navigation; (3) language or speech; (4) computational modeling of neural processes; (5) behavioral and computational genetics; (6) affective neuroscience with a focus on emotional processing or emotional reasoning; (7) social phenomena such as theory of mind, joint attention, moral reasoning, perception of affect, person perception, stereotypes, and self-regulation. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active, extramurally-funded research program and to participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching.  Salary, start-up funds, and other considerations will be consistent with Rutgers’ commitment to recruit and retain an exceptional individual.
